Adroddiad Trawsgwlad 2013

Ar brynhawn braf o Dachwedd cynhaliwyd Twrnamaint Trawsgwlad Sir Wrecsam yn Ysgol Morgan Llwyd lle bu i dros 500 o ddisgyblion Ysgolion Uwchradd Wrecsam gymryd rhan yn y Gystadleuaeth a drefnwyd yn llwyddiannus, unwaith eto, gan Mr Ted Partridge o Ysgol Rhiwabon.

Fel adran, rydym yn hynod o ddiolchgar a balch o holl gystadleuwyr Ysgol Morgan Llwyd am eu gwaith caled ac ymroddiad ar y diwrnod. Cafwyd nifer o lwyddiannau unigol gydag o leiaf 8 o ddisgyblion yn dod yn 10 uchaf eu rasys nhw. Golyga hyn y byddent yn mynd ymlaen i gynrychioli Sir Wrecsam yng Nghystadleuaeth Gogledd Ddwyrain Cymru yn Ysgol Dinas Bran yn hwyrach yn y tymor.

Rhaid sôn yn arbennig am Ellie Williams o flwyddyn 8 a Phoebe Hughes o flwyddyn 11 a enillodd eu rasus unigol nhw, Ellie yn arbennig gan ei bod yn cystadlu yn erbyn merched o flwyddyn naw. Da iawn chi!

Rhestr o’r disgyblion fydd yn mynd ymlaen i gynrychioli’r sir yn y rownd nesaf:

Ella Oldfield

Eilir Rhys-Kight

Ellie Williams

Phoebe Hughes

Natasha Hunter

Adam Jones

Joe Edwards

Owen Parry

Llongyfarchiadau i bawb!

Cross-country Report 2013

On a fine November afternoon, the Wrexham county Cross-country Tournament was held in Ysgol Morgan Llwyd where more than 500 pupils from the secondary schools in Wrexham took part in the competition, successfully organised by Mr Ted Partridge from Ysgol Rhiwabon once again.

As a department, we are all very thankful for every competitor from Ysgol Morgan Llwyd for their hard work and commitment on the day.  We had a number of individual successes with at least 8 pupils crossing the line in the top 10 in their own races.  This means that they will go on to represent Wrexham in the North East Wales Competition at Ysgol Dinas Bran later this term.

Special mention must go to Ellie Williams from year 8 and Phoebe Hughes from year 11 for winning their individual races.  Ellie was competing against girls from year 9 so a great effort from her.

These are the pupils who will go on to represent the county in the next round:

Ella Oldfield

Eilir Rhys-Kight

Ellie Williams

Phoebe Hughes

Natasha Hunter

Adam Jones

Joe Edwards

Owen Parry

Congratulations to everyone!
